In collaboration with Central Mackenzie Environmental (KEL), Fire Lotus Creative embarked on a journey to illuminate their profound connection to the land and their unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship in the Sahtu region of the Northwest Territories. With roots deeply intertwined with indigenous heritage and local communities, Central Mackenzie Environmental’s online platform now serves as a digital testament to their shared vision of harmony, sustainability, and cultural preservation.
Our Role:
In this project, our objective was to encapsulate Central Mackenzie Environmental’s unique blend of indigenous wisdom and technical expertise through a captivating website:
Design Concept: Infusing indigenous symbolism and colors into the logo and website’s aesthetic, capturing the essence of Dene culture and the natural beauty of the Sahtu region.
Functionality: Crafting a user-friendly interface that guides visitors through the diverse range of environmental services offered by Central Mackenzie Environmental, tailored to meet the needs of remote communities such as Colville Lake, Fort Good Hope, Norman Wells, Tulita, and Deline.
Project Outcome:
The culmination of our collaboration is a digital sanctuary that honors Central Mackenzie Environmental’s integral role in safeguarding the environment and preserving indigenous heritage. The website’s design not only reflects the rich tapestry of Dene culture but also provides practical solutions for environmental challenges faced by remote communities.
