Project Description:

The Rocky Mountain Play Therapy Institute (RMPTI), an internationally recognized leader in specialized play therapy training, sought to reimagine its online platform. Dedicated to equipping practitioners with the skills and knowledge to meet play therapy registration and certification standards, RMPTI needed a dynamic, professional website that clearly communicated its commitment to a transformative learning journey, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The goal was to create a digital experience that was as comprehensive and engaging as their training—a space to connect prospective students with an international community, cutting-edge techniques, and a pathway to create impactful change in the lives of children and families.

Our Role:

Comprehensive Website Redesign & Development: We designed and developed a modern, multi-page website that effectively showcases RMPTI’s diverse and continuous training programs, including their core Play Therapy Training, Nature-Based Play Therapy, and specialized workshops like the TraumaPlay™ model. The design was structured to facilitate easy navigation of the calendar, faculty, books, and continuing education options.

Content Strategy & Engagement Hub: A key focus was to build a strong engagement experience, highlighting the four pillars of the RMPTI advantage: Connect, Learn More, Engage, and Create. We created dedicated sections to promote their thought leadership, including a series of articles by experienced trainer Lorri Yasenik, and integrated clear calls-to-action for applying for training, exploring programs, and joining their vibrant mailing list.

Technical Integration & Trust Building: We ensured the site clearly displayed their international credentials, including their approvals from the APT, CAPT, and BCPTA. We also implemented a clear acknowledgment of the traditional territories of the Indigenous peoples of the Treaty 7 region, reinforcing RMPTI’s commitment to an inclusive and understanding world.

Project Outcome:

The new RMPTI website is a robust, professional, and sophisticated platform that clearly positions the organization as an international leader in play therapy education. The updated design and intuitive structure now provide mental health professionals with a seamless journey from initial exploration to application. By effectively integrating all training information, community engagement options, and thought leadership content, the platform successfully supports RMPTI’s mission to cultivate skilled and confident play therapists globally.
