Serving Cobble Hill, Shawnigan Lake, Mill Bay, and Cowichan Bay for over two decades, Fisher Road Recycling underwent a complete brand evolution to become South Island Organics. As a leading regional waste recovery and zero-waste facility, the business needed a modern digital home to reflect its expanded focus on sustainable composting, material sorting, and community resource recovery.
Having designed the original website for Fisher Road Recycling years prior, Fire Lotus Creative was brought on to guide the technical and visual transition, ensuring zero disruption to their existing customer base or search visibility.

Fire Lotus Creative delivered an end-to-end web rebuild, domain migration, and local SEO transition:
Technical Setup: Managed email configuration, contact forms, and security safeguards to support daily business operations.
Brand & Website Rebuild: Designed and deployed a modern, mobile-responsive website built on WordPress and Elementor, clearly highlighting key services including residential compost bin exchanges, drywall processing guidelines, and accepted material sorting rules.
Domain Migration & SEO Continuity: Executed a full site migration to southislandorganics.com, setting up seamless 301 server redirects from the old domain to preserve existing search engine rankings and domain authority.
Google Business Profile Transition: Managed the local search rebranding process on Google, successfully retaining all 50+ 5-star customer reviews and history while updating business information, regional boundaries, and category markers.
Project Outcome:
The launch of the South Island Organics website marks a successful digital evolution for a long-standing local staple. The new platform gives residents and local businesses instant access to operational hours and disposal guidelines while solidifying their position as the premier eco-friendly waste management solution in the Cowichan Valley.
